HooDoo Brewing Company
Named after the rugged HooDoo Mountains, this small-town, small-batch brewery is wildly popular among both locals and visitors. Known for their dedication to the craft of brewing, HooDoo Brewing Company offers iconic, high-quality beer made with world class ingredients.
HooDoo is located right in the middle of Fairbanks and is easily accessible from anywhere in town. Offering a variety of classic English, German, Belgian and American beer styles, HooDoo is best known for their Kölsch or American IPA and their variety of seasonal releases. HooDoo also hosts a rotation of delicious local food trucks just outside their patio.
Every Thursday at 6pm, all year round, Running Club North meets at HooDoo for a 1-3 mile group run (or walk), capped with world class beer. HooDoo also hosts the HooDoo Half Marathon, a race through forested trails with amazing views.
Silver Gulch Brewing and Bottling Company

Lat 65 Brewing Co.
Lat 65 Brewing Co. opened its doors in May of 2021 and quickly made its mark with a diverse lineup of beers, ciders and non-alcoholic craft beverages. From their Midnight Glow Spiced Stout to their Ptarmigan Pilsner and Up North Cream Ale—Lat 65 prides themselves in having something for everyone, including a selection of locally crafted non-alcoholic sodas, Tundra Tea, and Hibiscus Kombucha.
Destined to become the largest brewery and taproom in Fairbanks, Lat 65 was founded by a seasoned brewer and two friends that wanted to create a "melting pot of greatness" for locals and travelers alike. Conveniently located just minutes from downtown Fairbanks, Lat 65 is just off the Chena River bike trail system and riverfront Graehl Park.
In 2022, Lat 65 received the Bill Stroecker Business of the Year Award from the Greater Fairbanks Chamber of Commerce for showing leadership in local engagement, community development, and excellence in the craft beer industry.

Humble Roots 
Located in the heart of downtown Fairbanks, Humble Roots offers an array of intentionally brewed hop-forward beers, fruited sours, and confection inspired stouts. These creatively brewed beers are a game changer for downtown Fairbanks. Humble Roots also has retro-themed cocktails on draft, including a rocket popsicle inspired citrus, cherry, and blue raspberry cocktail.
Committed to investing in downtown Fairbanks and true to their name, Humble Roots revitalized an abandoned laundromat and built a vibrant gathering place from the ground up.
Guided by a mission to bring great beer and joy to their patrons, Humble Roots is grounded in a deep sense of place and love for the Fairbanks community. In their debut documentary, Despite it All, Humble Roots offers a behind-the-scenes look at their journey, highlighting the passion, perseverance, and people that shaped their story.
Black Spruce Brewing Company

Founded in 2018, Black Spruce was created with the mission of providing a rotating array of award-winning, locally crafted beverages, and they have delivered on that mission. Lauded as “Fairbanks’ most decorated brewery,” Black Spruce’s Aroma Dome IPA was named one of Craft Beer and Brewing ‘s Top 20 Beers in 2022; in 2021 and 2023, Black Spruce brought home gold with the WOW! Real Fruit: Smoothie-Style Sour award from the Alaska Beer Awards; and in 2023 they snagged another gold with the Barrel-Aged Long Nights Imperial Stout award from the Beer and Barleywine Festival.
Art is front and center at Black Spruce, including a large eye-catching mural painted by local artist Klara Maisch. They also regularly host pop-up artist events, food trucks, and live music.
49th State Brewing Co.

49th State Brewing Co. serves up award winning authentic Alaskan beer. From crisp Frontier-Style Lagers and Spruce Tip Blonde Ale to Russian Imperial Stout, 49th State has it all. But it’s not just about the brew—49th State is also celebrated for their delicious, locally inspired cuisine. Whether ordering a yak burger, Alaskan-raised pork ribs or a local organic salad, their menu is crafted to pair perfectly with any of their craft and seasonal beers.
Located just outside Denali Park in Healy, 49th State offers an unforgettable atmosphere. Guests can relax in the beer garden, play lawn games, gather around bonfires, and take part in lively summer beer festivals. A major highlight is none other than the famous “Into the Wild” replica bus, a nod to Alaska’s adventurous spirit.
To top it all off, 49th State holds two medals from the prestigious European Beer Star Company in the Franconian Smoke Beer Category and another medal in the Stout Category.

Big Delta Brewing
Big Delta Brewing, a favorite for craft beer and community gathering, is located in Delta Junction, a beautiful must-visit area, surrounded by the White Mountains, the Granite Mountains, and the Alaska Range. This family-owned brewery offers flavorful IPA’s and bold ales along with traditional German-style brews and more. Not to be missed is the Big Delta Stout, Big Delta’s signature full-bodied ale. Beer to go is also available! Grab a 64 oz growler or 32 oz crowler and take the flavors of Big Delta Brewing with you.
Be sure to check out the incredible food! Known for their delicious pizzas, Big Delta Brewing offers a large selection of pepperoni and cheese classics along with locally themed bites including The Castner, a white sauce, glacier inspired pizza. Ursa Major Distilling
Ursa Major, meaning “Great Bear,” takes its name from the iconic constellation that has long symbolized strength, direction, and the northern spirit. As the first distillery in Fairbanks, and only the third in the State of Alaska, Ursa Major prides itself in creating one-of-a-kind, perfectly crafted small-batch spirits. Made with locally grown barley from Delta Junction, Ursa Major’s products are certified Alaskan Grown.
With handmade stills, Ursa produces exceptionally smooth spirits including Fairbanks Sourdough Rum (Alaska’s 1st rum), Summer Harvest Gin, and their flagship Long Winter Vodka. Ursa Major brought home bronze from the American Craft Distillers Association tasting event for their legendary Summer Harvest Gin. Whether you try a drink neat, on the rocks, or in a specialty cocktail, the quality is unmistakable.

Fairbanks Distilling Company
Fairbanks Distilling Company is an artisan distillery that uses all Alaskan sourced grains, berries and potatoes to create delicious high latitude ultra-premium spirits. Their downtown location and beautiful patio give patrons a glimpse into the history of Fairbanks.
Visit downtown Fairbanks and stop by the Fairbanks Distilling Company for a delicious drink served with a bit of history. The distillery is located in the Old City Hall, which was built in 1935 as a combination of City Hall, Police Station, Fire House, and the seat of government for Territorial Alaska. Patrons can tour the fascinating building which is on the National Register of Historic Places.
Sample handcrafted products that include internationally recognized and Gold Medal-winning vodka produced from potatoes. Visitors love to sip on spirits while enjoying the beautiful outdoor patio.

Hoarfrost Distilling
At Hoarfrost Distillery it seems like there is always a party going on. Cinco De Mayo, Prohibition Speakeasy Night, Mardi Gras and more. Their cozy quarters are often the scene for special events and celebrations. Hoarfrost Distilling makes world-class vodka using barley and pure Alaskan water.
You can try artisanal cocktails in their comfortable tasting room and take a tour of the distillery (call ahead for a tour). They serve a variety of cocktails—try an alpenglow (named after the orange-pink glow of Fairbanks sunsets) or rhubarb pie (made from a meticulously created secret juice). Whatever you choose, you will not be disappointed.
As a gold medal winner in The Fifty Best Domestic Vodkas competition in 2019, Hoarfrost’s Premium Brilliant Vodka is exceptionally smooth, crisp, and refined.
Arctic Harvest LLC
Arctic Harvest is a family-owned and operated farm distillery in North Pole, Alaska dedicated to creating quality spirits from ingredients grown on the farm. Arctic Harvest does it all—from planting and fertilizing the field, to harvesting and malting the grain, and fermenting and distilling the mash. They are true farm-to-bottle.
You can visit year-round for tours and cocktails, ski trails in winter, bird watching in the spring and fall, walking trails in summer and their annual corn maze in the fall. Located on 350 scenic acres, the delightful farm is a wonderful place to indulge in a beverage and purchase a bottle to take home with you.
The primary feature of tasting and taprooms is a tended walk-up bar/counter where guests are offered small samples. In Alaska, samples are limited to 3 total ounces of liquor or 36 ounces maximum for beer and hard cider. You can also purchase full cans, bottles or growlers from the distillery or brewery to take home. You must be 21 or older to consume alcoholic beverages and state law limits tasting room hours, so call ahead or visit websites for more information.
