As a military spouse, I have travelled extensively in the continental US. I have never lived in a place quite like Fairbanks. The friendly people and sense of community here are unsurpassed by any other area I have lived in. Fairbanks truly is the “Golden Heart City” and it is the people that make it that way. You will not find more welcoming, warm people than you do in Alaska’s Interior. Combine that with the beauty of the Fairbanks area and the incredible year-round outdoor activities available, it does not get any better than this. I am proud of Fairbanks and the beauty surrounding us. I love to share this with all people that come to live here or visit the area. What better outlet than being a Golden Heart Greeter. I get to share my love for Alaska and knowledge of state with everyone. I help my community by promoting the Fairbanks area any chance I get and participate in various community events.
