Airline Development

Working in conjunction with the Fairbanks International Airport, Explore Fairbanks offers assistance to airlines looking to start charter or scheduled service into Fairbanks. Resources include organizing and hosting familiarization tours for airline sales staff to better acquaint them with the area, providing data on visitor industry trends and statistics, marketing scheduled flights/charters for both inbound and outbound visitors, and more.

Fairbanks is served year-round with direct flights to and from Seattle by Alaska Airlines and Delta Airlines, and seasonally during the summer by United Airlines with direct flights from Chicago. Delta Airlines also offers a summer direct flight from Minneapolis. Each airline that services Fairbanks offers a variety of connecting flights that make getting to Fairbanks easy from anywhere in the US as well as international destinations.

On the international front, Condor offers once-weekly passenger service between Fairbanks and Frankfurt during the summer season. Japan Airlines, All Nippon Airways and Uzbekistan Air may offer season charter service in the fall/winter from Narita and other airports. China Airlines recently launched a direct fall and winter charter service from Taipei to Fairbanks.
