How to Dress for Winter

Winter temperatures in Alaska’s Interior are cold but with the appropriate gear outdoor adventures are quite manageable. It's advantageous that Fairbanks has a still, dry cold which allows you to go outside even if the temperature is well below zero. Dressing properly allows people to engage in fantastic activities like chasing the captivating light of the aurora borealis, viewing larger-than-life outdoor ice sculptures or experiencing the exhilarating sport of dog mushing.
