A Suite Alaskan Inn

  Jerry and Myrna were soooo hospitable to our family. They are so nice and welcoming. We really appreciated being able to do our laundry there in the bathroom... read more in the suite. Their suites are so nicely set up (Jerry showed me some of the other suites too). There was plenty of room for everyone in our family. Most of the suites have a bedroom or two plus a living area, dining area, and kitchen. I was amazed that there could be that much room in the house for all of their suites and their own private living area too. Each suite is completely private from the others. There location was great too. I would definitely recommend A Suite Alaskan Inn to anyone desiring to stay in Fairbanks.

Das B&B liegt in einer ruhigen kleinen Nebenstraße mitten in Fairbanks. Die wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten, Supermärkte und Restaurants sind mit dem Auto in fünf bis zehn Minuten zu erreichen.

Schon vorab bekommt man per Mail ein paar Infos von der Gastgeberin incl. des Türcodes; letzteres bei uns allerdings erst so spät, dass wir es nicht mehr lesen konnten (kein Netz unterwegs), was aber kein Problem war, weil die Gastgeber zu Hause waren. Das Einchecken ging schnell und problemlos, die Gastgeberin ist sehr nett. Zimmerservice gibt es keinen.

Für das Frühstück ist im Zimmer einiges bereitgestellt (Toast, Eier, Milch, Butter, Joghurts, Cerealien, süße Teilchen), was man sich dann selbst zu beliebiger Zeit selbst machen kann.

Wir hatten die „Aurora Family Suite“, ein vollwertiges Appartment mit Schlafzimmer, Wohnzimmer, Essecke, Bad und voll ausgestatteter Küche sowie eigenem Eingang. Einziger Nachteil war die Lage im Souterrain, d.h. zu den Fenstern kam nicht allzu viel Licht herein. Ansonsten war alles in Ordnung und sauber.

Everything was clean, the kitchen particularly well equipped, and the fridge and cabinets stocked with a surprisingly generous selection of fruit, pastries, fresh milk, breakfast foods, and beverage supplies. Our suite was the only one without a washer, but Myrna graciously offered her own machine so we could do our laundry after many days of travel. I can absolutely recommend this accommodation option as a comfortable, welcoming alternative to hotels. More

Their suites are so nicely set up, she showed us more than one of them. They have their own kitchen, bathroom, and laundry in each suite. They each have a bedroom off of the kitchen or living area. Some have more beds than others. We have 5 people in our family, so it was perfect for us. They treated us like family. Our kids were soon playing with their granddaughter out in the back yard.

The location is excellent; we were able to learn where the bus terminal was and then go almost anywhere in the city. The bus is $3 for a day pass or free if you’re over 60.
Myrna and Jerry were lovely hosts, responding quickly to our every request, the laundry was a super bonus, and our supplied breakfast goods a real bonus
