The Fairbanks community celebrates all things Arctic. This four-hour activity-filled event features two main downtown locations – one at the Doyon, Limited Plaza and Building and the second at the Worthington building – home to the Fairbanks Children’s Museum. All activities and performances are free to the public. Door prizes. Food and beverages are available to purchase.
Additionally, various downtown restaurants will be participating in the “Arctic Crawl” which will feature northern-themed adult beverages.
As the USA’s farthest north city with air, rail and road access, Fairbanks serves as the hub for Alaska’s Interior and Arctic. Fairbanks-based civic organizations - including the Downtown Association of Fairbanks, Explore Fairbanks, Fairbanks Economic Development Corporation and the Greater Fairbanks Chamber of Commerce - are collaborating to coordinate and host this event. Open to the general public and “Week of the Arctic” attendees.
