Fairbanks North Star Borough Parks and Recreation and the Downtown Association of Fairbanks present: WINTER LIGHTS WALK!

Friday, December 6th
5:00pm - 8:00pm
Morris Thompson Cultural & Visitors Center
FREE EVENT

Local businesses will sponsor trees along a 1km trail and decorate them to create a winter wonderland for the community to enjoy. Fairbanks North Star Borough Parks and Recreation and the Downtown Association of Fairbanks are creating this event not only as a recreational opportunity, but also as a fundraiser for local charities (Fairbanks Community Food Bank & Toys for Tots) that support those who may need extra support during the holiday season.

After touring the trail, you will receive one ticket to vote on the best decorated tree. The winning business will choose a charity to donate 100% of the event proceeds to (up to $11,500.00)! Please bring canned food items to donate to the Fairbanks Community Food Bank or a new unwrapped toy to donate to local Toys for Tots efforts. Monetary donations also accepted. You will receive extra votes for each of the items you donate!

Along with the Winter Lights Walk, participants may enjoy warm beverages and cookies free of charge and shop the Handmade Holiday Art Bazaar inside the Morris Thompson Cultural & Visitors Center. This will be a very popular, family friendly event!

Trees will remain decorated through December 29th. For more information on this event, please call (907) 459-1070.
