If you’re like most families you have boxes filled with photos, slides, and hard drives filled with hundreds – maybe thousands – of digital images. You may have irreplaceable photos from past generations. What to do with them all? How to keep from getting overwhelmed?
The Saving Your Family Photos class will give you real skills to preserve your most precious family photos and make sure they are around for your great-great grandchildren to enjoy.
During this class you will learn:
- How to approach preserving your collection without getting overwhelmed. - Non-technical, straightforward strategies for dealing with your photo collections. - The basics of TRIAGE – identifying the most important and most vulnerable images. - How to handle, store, and display photos. - Beginning skills in restoring damaged photos with basic software.
The first half of this class will be presentation and discussion. In the second half there will be a demonstration of how to bring a damaged photo back to life using simple, entry-level skills in basic photo software.
Preserving family photosBring samples of your photos to evaluate – they can be printed or digital files. By the end of our 3 hours together, you will have the skills to start working on your family photo collection with confidence, applying easy-to-accomplish, non-technical solutions to preserving your family’s visual legacy.
