Rut: A Curated Collection of Caribou Bull Prints

Black Spruce Brewing Company is hosting a photography installation by Mark Lindberg, featuring a powerful collection of bull caribou images captured across Alaska's Brooks Range over many years of travel and time in the field.

The exhibit will showcase approximately 15 photographs of bull caribou, with an emphasis on recent work created while Mark had unique access to caribou landscapes and migrations. Curated with intention, these images highlight the stature, intensity, and presence of mature bulls — selecting moments that will resonate especially with caribou hunters, wildlife enthusiasts, and anyone drawn to Alaska’s wild character.

Most of the photographs are presented as metal prints, giving the images a striking depth, durability, and vibrancy well suited to both gallery and field-inspired spaces. Together, the collection serves as both a celebration of the animal and a visual reflection on time spent observing caribou on their own terms.

Mark Lindberg will be back at Black Spruce during the ADF&G Wood Bison Restoration presentation, where a single wood bison metal print will be on display and available as part of a fundraising effort.

Whether you’re a hunter, photographer, or admirer of Alaska wildlife, this exhibit offers an intimate look at one of the North’s most iconic animals through the lens of lived experience and deep respect for Alaska's vibrant, wild public lands.



Mark is generously donating 10% of all his print sales to the Alaska Chapter of Backcountry Hunters & Anglers.
