Rock-Bottom Shrink Box and other Foolishness

About
+-

This class is for those who have already made shrink boxes and have some wood carving experience and are willing to think outside the (shrink) box. Rather than fitting dry wood bottoms to the wet wood cylinder we will fit the cylinder to a flattish rock or any other flattish object like a silver dollar or ceramic tile or a sea shell, a glass disc or a slice of bone or antler. Scratch around in your archives or make something but keep the size 4″ or smaller. If the object is too small for a bottom we can use the same technique and insert it in the side. If time allows we can experiment with strange shaped boxes, double enders or rattles. Bring al least 4 objects and a few small things we can implant in the sides. The things for the sides don’t even have to be flattish.
