Music & More: Kinky Slinky

The Music & More performance series at the Fairbanks First United Methodist Church continues on Saturday evening, February 4, with a concert by the local smash favorites Kinky Slinky. This wild and talented group plays a stylistically eclectic mix of genre-defying originals peppered with reimagined mashups of classics from the rock, folk, and Americana idioms, adapted for their unusual instrumentation of cello, guitar, bass, and kick drum. Kinky Slinky is dedicated to delivering a playfully entertaining experience for audiences of all ages.
Begun this last summer, Music & More provides a variety of family-oriented entertainment that might include drama, dance or readings, in addition to music. Mostly local artists share their talents with families and others in an intimate sanctuary setting well suited to listening and enjoying. There is no admission charge, but donations are encouraged.
Kinky Slinky’s show begins at 7:00 PM on Saturday, February 4, 2023. The church is located at 915 Second Avenue in downtown Fairbanks. Come and bring the kids!
