Putz Houses, also known as Glitter Houses, were a popular vintage decoration during the holiday season. They started around the early 1900s and lasted until about the mid-1950s. I see them as the predecessor of today’s ceramic Christmas Villages.
In this class you learn a bit more history of the Putz Houses and construct a house of your very own to decorate with paint, miniature trees, and traditional glass glitter.
Age range: Ages 10 to adult. (Ages 12 and up may attend by themselves; ages 10-11 can attend with an adult also registered in the class.)
Location: Pioneer Park - Cabin 66 - Back Room
