Fairbanks Arts presents Up With Art, an exhibition of Fairbanks North Star Borough School District-affiliated K–12 student artwork!

Up With Art is on view March 3-31 in the Bear Gallery for National Youth Art Month. First Friday Opening reception is March 3 from 5-7 p.m., with an awards ceremony for grades 9-12 at 6 p.m. The awards ceremony for grades K-8 will be on Sunday, March 5 from 2-3 p.m. Both awards ceremonies will take place in the Bear Gallery. Regular gallery hours are Monday-Saturday, 12-6 p.m.

Community judges will choose awardees to receive prizes from Fairbanks Arts and an opportunity to hang their winning artwork in the Mayor’s office for an entire year. Awardees will be announced on fairbanksarts.org after the awards ceremonies on March 3 and 5.

Art is key to a complete education and is a powerful vehicle for expression, exploration, and skill-building.
