False morels, or lorchels, recently underwent a big family revision, and scientists now better understand how the ten different genera are related. Stay up to date with the science and along the way, learn how to tell a lorchel from a true morel in the field.

Participants will learn how to safely harvest, store, and cook certain edible lorchels and morels, although no cooking will take place in this class.
