Learn to make lei! There are many styles of lei, but this class you will learn to make traditional Polynesian wili style lei. We will discuss different Polynesian types of flower and plant embellishments and their cultural relevance, as well as impacts of colonialism to this art form. During the class we will harvest fresh plants and flowers to use along with yarn (and/or raffia) to make our lei.
