Since 1952 Fairbanks has celebrated its founding with a series of activities in July known as Golden Days. Golden Days boasts exciting events for all ages, including the biggest parade in Alaska, a street fair, and a rubber duckie race along the Chena river among many other fun activities.

Location: Pioneer Park

Old Tyme Games: A family-friendly event that includes various Old Tyme contests such as watermelon eating, pie eating, balloon toss, and water bucket brigade. While the games are mostly for children, these contests are fun for all!

Registration: Registration starts at 5:15 PM near Gold Rush Town and the gazebo with events starting at 6:00 PM. Limited spots available on first-come first-serve basis!
