Fairbanks Tango Weekly Open Dancing

Fairbanks Tango is an inclusive group of social dancers dedicated to exploring comfortably connected movement to the rich musical landscape of Argentine Tango. We welcome anyone interested in learning, practicing, or dancing social tango in the Fairbanks area. Singles and beginners are welcome. We rotate partners frequently to maximize learning potential, and experienced dancers are available to work with beginners.

This beautiful improvisational social dance provides healthy human connection, often inspiring personal growth and a deep sense of belonging. While tango is a complex dance with subtle communication, this friendly group makes the learning process so enjoyable that we all look forward to our next opportunity to practice!

Parking is easiest across from the Golden Eagle near the Ester library. Walk across the street to Hartung Hall (with big porch). Wear comfortable clothing and bring clean shoes for dancing. Contribution to cover expenses in $10/person.
