Join us at the beautiful Tanana Lakes Recreation Area for a hands-on, high-energy event focused on protecting our lakes from aquatic invasive species—and having a ton of fun while we’re at it!

Hosted by the Fairbanks Soil & Water Conservation District in partnership with FNSB, ADF&G, USFWS, and Alaska Dream Adventures, this free event is packed with outdoor activities, educational demos, free boat rentals, and even a locally sourced picnic.

🌊 What’s Happening:

🧼 "Clean, Drain, Dry" Boat Demos – Learn how to stop the spread of invasive Elodea with live demonstrations using the USFWS decon unit
🎣 Fishing Fun with ADF&G – Try your hand at fishing with loaner gear available and expert tips from the Alaska Department of Fish & Game
🚣‍♀️ Free Boat Rentals – Thanks to Alaska Dream Adventures, enjoy free non-motorized boat rentals during the event
🍔 Alaska-Grown Picnic – Dig into delicious, AK-sourced food prepared by local Future Farmers of America (FFA) students
