Fairbanks Community Jazz Band
Established as an offshoot of the Fairbanks Community Band in 2003, this large 20 piece big band ensemble features 5 saxophones, 3-4 trombones, 3-5 trumpets, bass, drums, piano, vibraphone, and occasional vocals. They play a large variety of music ranging from the likes of Benny Goodman and Duke Ellington to Gordan Goodwin and his Big Phat Band. The band is currently under the direction of TJ Hovest.
