Clean Energy in Alaska (Camp 2)

Students will be introduced to concepts of energy literacy, energy efficiency, and solar and wind energy. Through hands-on energy measurement labs and model wind and solar activities, students will learn about how we use energy, why energy efficiency is good for our communities and our planet, and how solar and wind energy can be used as a reliable source of energy for our society.

Students will also use a model power-grid kit to study the benefits of micro-grid systems similar to many Alaskan communities.
