2023 Winter Solstice Festival Downtown Fairbanks

The Winter Solstice Festival is a community event series of free family-friendly outdoor events to make light of the darkest days of winter.

Events include:

• 12/10 Opens; 12/16 Voting at 7:45pm - Winter Lights Walk in Griffin Park Tree Viewing and Voting Event. Come to the Morris Thompson Cultural & Visitors Center and vote for your favorite tree! Voting takes place in the plaza.
• 12/15, 11am-6pm and 12/16, 10am-6pm - Holiday Bazaar at the Morris Thompson Cultural & Visitors Center
• 12/16 - Moose on the Loose, a scavenger hunt at your favorite local shops. Stop by a participating location to get your passport!
• 12/16, 6pm - Reindeer Photos in Golden Heart Plaza. All pictures will be posted for the public to view.
• 12/16, 8pm - Solstice Fireworks presented by Alyeska Pipeline in Golden Heart Plaza. Bundle up and enjoy the show!
