If you are 50 or better, it’s time to get your game on and register for the Senior Games this summer in Fairbanks, Alaska. Registration is open now through Saturday, July 25 for the 13th Annual Alaska International Senior Games (AISG) which will be held August 7-16. The 2015 AISG allows people to compete in over 65 events in 20 different sports including: Bocce, Basketball, Bowling, Archery, Cycling, Golf, Horseshoes, Swimming, 5K & 10K Road Races, Racquetball, Gala Games, Indoor Shooting, Tennis, Mini-Golf, Pickleball, Table Tennis, Track & Field, Trap Shoot, Triathlon, Disc Golf, and Coed Ice Hockey (where females can be as young as 45).

If you want to spectate, make sure you mark your calendar and prepare to cheer on the athletes. AISG offers seniors the opportunity to compete with peers in activities that enhance fitness, health and quality of life. According to AISG President Diann Darnall, “If you like to laugh and have fun, this event is for you!” The AISG, established in 2003, is a completely volunteer run event sponsored by philanthropic local businesses.
