Maintenance/ Outdoor Position

Maintenance/ Outdoor Position: Bettles, AK; The position duties include: Upkeep and general maintenance of buildings and equipment. Aircraft support including fueling, passengers, mail, freight and baggage. Home heating oil deliveries and meeting fuel plane deliveries. Plowing snow away from the buildings, shoveling porches and walk ways. Daily building checks and fuel inventory. Garbage removal to the landfill and other odds and ends not listed. Occasional guest services - operating shuttle van to the '' Aurora Viewing%u201D cabin and occasional snowmobile tours. Some experience in general building and vehicle maintenance, small engine repair (such as snowmobiles), plumbing, septic & electrical systems upkeep is helpful. A basic knowledge of operation of water, septic, fuel and electrical systems is needed. Bettles Lodge offers services to aviators, tourists and local residents. Arctic Circle Tours and small aircraft charter into the Brooks Range. We are in a remote setting, north of Arctic Circle, fly-in only village.
