Kids make great traveling companions! Bring them to Fairbanks to enjoy a wide range of family-oriented activities. We have horseback riding, snowboarding, hot springs, ice cream, canoeing, concerts in the park, festivals, ice skating, indoor miniature golf, camping, museums, kid-friendly restaurants, botanical gardens, Santa Claus, gold panning, and sleigh rides to name a few.
As the gateway to Interior Alaska and the Arctic, Fairbanks is also the jumping off point to family adventure. Visit the Arctic Circle and experience Alaska Native culture in an Athabascan village. Motor up the famed Dalton Highway, the only highway in the U.S. to cross the mighty Yukon River and to connect the highway system to the Arctic Ocean. Bring grandma and grandpa along and enjoy true family togetherness. Whatever your taste, whatever you enjoy, Fairbanks is the place for the ultimate family vacation!
