| Experience Denali National Park and Mt. McKinley |
| |
Denali National Park is one of Alaska's most popular destinations. Home to majestic Mt. McKinley, the park offers visitors year-round opportunities to experience the flora, fauna and geology of Alaska's scenic Interior region.
No other national park in the world boasts the access and bio-diversity of Denali. Accessing the park is easy. Denali's main wilderness corridor is accessible via the Denali Park Road. The Park Road is open to private vehicles to milepost 16 – the Savage River bridge. After that point, the park road is open only to authorized tour operators.
Guided bus tours on the park road are a must-do activity for any person visiting the park, as they are the best way to see wildlife such as bear, fox, wolves, moose, caribou and Dall sheep, along with dozens of species of birds and raptors.
Visitor services are available along the George Parks Highway from Healy to Cantwell. Services include hotels, bed and breakfasts, wilderness cabins, campgrounds, rafting companies, flightseeing companies and more. The area also boasts an ample selection of restaurants, shopping and scenic rest areas.
We hope the following information helps you plan your next trip to Denali National Park. Additional information about travel to this area can be found by requesting our official printed travel visitors guide.
