If you’re ready to enjoy a variety of holiday entertainment and activities all in one fantastic place, stop by the Morris Thompson Center this Saturday, December 15th for a Holiday Open House like no other! You’re invited to celebrate winter with family fun, Christmas caroling, hot chocolate and all the embellishments of a community party.

The Coventry Carolers will sing holiday favorites from noon to 2:00 PM. You can create your own ornaments and gifts at the craft table. Watch an artist at work carving a real ice sculpture. Learn about the many varieties of snow on a scavenger hunt. Join in the friendly competition of the snowshoe obstacle course. Shop the Alaska Geographic Store’s holiday sale. And relax with a classic holiday film in the theatre.

Open every day of the week, there’s always something fun to do at the Morris Thompson Cultural and Visitors Center. You can browse the exhibits; find information about area attractions and activities; pick up the new 2013 Fairbanks Visitors Guide; or take in an Alaska-themed film in the comfortable theatre. You can even check your email on one of the on-site PCs or use the free Wi-Fi for your own device. There are a number of other occasions that add even more enjoyment to your visit. For example, on each first Friday of the month, extra art is added to the culture of the visitors center.

So bring the whole family and get in the holiday spirit this Saturday from Noon to 4:00 PM. As always, admission to the Morris Thompson Cultural and Visitors Center is absolutely free!
